Export Process

How to Import Used Cars from China

We will check the availability of the used cars, send you a quotation based on EXW, FOB, or CIF terms, provide you with a full vehicle inspection report, finalize the deal, and ship the vehicle to your destination.

Send your RFQ

Send us your vehicle requirements, including the brand, model, model year, mileage, quantity, preferred configuration, destination country, and destination port. If you have a specific vehicle listing or reference number, you can also share it with us.

Our sales team will check the latest vehicle availability in China and confirm the vehicle condition, specifications, registration information, and export eligibility.

Please also let us know your preferred trade term, such as EXW, FOB, or CIF, so we can prepare a more accurate quotation based on your requirements and destination.

After receiving your RFQ, we will provide you with available vehicle options, pricing, photos, specifications, and other relevant information to help you select the right vehicle.

For customers who plan to import to European Union nation, probably you need to know about this.

  • EU Vehicle Compliance

For vehicles intended for import and registration in the European Union, customers should confirm whether the selected vehicle has EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) and a valid Certificate of Conformity (CoC).

Under the EU vehicle approval framework, WVTA confirms that a vehicle type complies with applicable EU safety, environmental and technical requirements. A CoC is issued by the manufacturer to confirm that an individual vehicle conforms to an EU-approved vehicle type. Vehicles with valid EU type approval and CoC can generally be registered across EU Member States under the EU approval framework.

For China-market vehicles that do not already have EU WVTA or CoC, additional technical inspections, modifications or an individual vehicle approval may be required before registration. The exact requirements depend on the vehicle model and the destination country.

Yanxun Car works with a partner agent in Germany who can assist customers with EU vehicle compliance, technical testing, approval procedures and related documentation. For vehicles without existing EU approval, our German partner can evaluate the vehicle from China and help arrange the appropriate certification or individual approval process where applicable.

A warm reminder before you import. Most of the used cars that we export, should obey the 180-day-registration policy from The Ministry Of Commerce, People's Republic Of China.

Receive a Used Car Quotation

After receiving your RFQ, our sales team will check the latest vehicle availability and prepare a detailed quotation based on your requirements. The quotation may include the vehicle price, specifications, mileage, model year, EXW or FOB price, estimated CIF shipping cost, destination port, and other applicable charges. We will also provide available photos and relevant vehicle information so you can compare the options and choose the most suitable used car.

Full Test Report

Before shipment, we will provide a full vehicle inspection report for the selected used car. The report may include the vehicle’s exterior and interior condition, mileage, battery or engine status, chassis condition, accident history, paint condition, major components, diagnostic results, photos, and other available test information. This helps you clearly understand the actual condition of the vehicle before confirming shipment.

Sign a Sales Contract

Once you confirm the vehicle, price, trade terms, and shipping arrangement, we will prepare a formal sales contract for both parties to review and sign. The contract will clearly specify the vehicle details, quantity, price, payment terms, Incoterms, delivery terms, destination port, and other agreed conditions. After the contract is signed, we will proceed with payment arrangements, vehicle preparation, export procedures, and shipment according to the agreed terms.

Shipment

After the vehicle has passed the final inspection and all export documents are ready, we will arrange shipment according to the agreed FOB, CIF, or other Incoterms. Depending on the destination and vehicle type, shipment can be arranged by Ro-Ro, container, or other suitable transportation methods. We will coordinate the booking, customs declaration, port delivery, and shipping documents, and keep you updated on the shipment status until the vehicle departs from China. We would provide you with basic clearance documents needed. Generally they are stamped sales contract, stamped commercial invoice and stamped packing list.
